People who come in to the Orthodox Church and leave are in a worse spiritual position than someone who never converted to Orthodoxy.

On Wednesday the priest catechising the group I’m in told me in a 1 on 1 meeting that I’m not yet ready to be baptised. Although I was sad to hear this after enquiring into orthodoxy for 4 years, I understood why. All I do is show up to liturgy and leave afterwards without interacting with anyone. I have not integrated into any parish community. Hopefully I don’t die before I get the opportunity to do a life confession, get baptised and receive the Eucharist.

@uncreated_light Also many ais are trained on data that is paywalled, so sometimes even if the quote is correct you'd need to buy a book to actually see the source. This is especially true for more modern saints.

Orthodox quote accounts please stop using Grok & AI in general to generate saint quotes for you. Even if you ask for verbatim with source, the source is often wrong. I have encountered this numerous times comparing to actual sources I have, St. Paisios is especially misquoted.
