I still think this is a good ending. In a thematic sense, Gyro was never really fighting for the boy to live, he was fighting against the injustice. Thanks to Gyro, Boy A was able to live his natural life, and die a Natural death.

@backside241 @gncgalactus Nah man, you're misunderstanding the post. I see what you mean though. It's "confusing woke" because she's drawn with the exaggerated features typical of a demeaning caricature, but she's allowed to banter the way she would've pre-transition, like a real person.

@estrodiol Plus with Candy Jane not only becoming an OOC Villain, but the only real "conflict" in Candy being the world going from Fine to Race War in a matter of days feels like an extreme but potent example of "slice of life fanfic suddenly introducing unnecessary conflict"
