Reliable data systems are essential for effective health system planning and evidence-informed health policy 🏥📲 WHO Sri Lanka is exploring collaboration with @UNVSriLanka through #OneRegistry to strengthen digital systems for civil registration. Discussions highlighted opportunities to jointly support the Registrar General’s Department to further strengthen the e-Population Registry system, advancing efficiency and improved service delivery. The #OneRegistry initiative is implemented by the Government of #SriLanka and @UNSriLanka SDG Fund, with funding from Government of Canada, @EU_in_Sri_Lanka, @UKinSriLanka @UNPeacebuilding & @JointSDGFund and led by @UNDPSriLanka & @WHOSriLanka #WHO #SriLanka #DigitalTransformation

#Sri Lanka’s recovery journey takes a major step forward. The Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (#PDNA) for #CycloneDitwah is a Government-led assessment that provides a shared foundation to prioritise needs, align partners, and mobilise resources for a resilient and inclusive recovery. .@UNDP Sri Lanka congratulates the Government of Sri Lanka on the completion of the Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (#PDNA) for Cyclone Ditwah-a major milestone for a coordinated, evidence-based recovery. The PDNA, mandated under the “Rebuilding Sri Lanka” Presidential Task Force, consolidates findings on damages, losses, and recovery needs across 22 severely impacted districts, helping align recovery planning, prioritisation, and resource mobilisation. UNDP is proud to have supported the overall technical coordination for this Government-led process alongside partners. A data validation workshop was held to review findings from the Court Observation and Analysis of SGBV victim-survivors’ needs throughout the justice process, conducted by @WINSriLanka. The discussion brought together researchers and lawyers from Colombo, Matara and Jaffna, highlighting survivor experiences, gender gaps in #justice sector responses, and barriers faced in accessing justice. Under the @CanHCSriLanka-funded ‘Ensuring Access to Justice for Victim-Survivors of #SGBV in #SriLanka’ project, implemented by @UNDP and @UNFPASriLanka, the findings will help inform reforms to strengthen judicial responsiveness and advance fair and equitable justice for #women and #girls. #AccessToJustice
