@CoachGarvo @Coach_DeMarco I think all offensive actions can be broken down into 3v3. You could do 3v2, 4v3, etc. to create larger advantages. The biggest key is to score the components you want to emphasize in your offense (ex. setting off ball screens; I like to give big bonus points for assists)

@unitedbballplus No worries, all good! Your numbers weren’t being questioned. I was sharing because it’s really ridiculous what we accomplished with what we had. My women’s golf budget at a “have” school was bigger than my men’s basketball budget at a school that didn’t even have football🤷🏼‍♂️

There’s millions of $$ on the line here, so coaches get very analytical, you don’t need that many analytics at the HS or youth levels Teach your players how to play hard & fundamentally sound. Allow them to make mistakes & learn how to correct the mistake

These programs have paid staff members who are doing scouting reports Each game is highly dissected; college players know minute details about opponents. Your players do not have the time to commit to elaborate scouting reports - so keep it simple

Why play 3x3? It's positionless basketball. Everyone must dribble, pass, shoot & defend. Everyone touches the ball. Everyone matters. 🇺🇸🏀 #3XPlay

It’s been proven time & time again, the less you dribble the more effective you are Bellarmine U - The team that doesn’t dribble Klay Thompson once scored 60 on 11 dribbles Quite frankly, if you’re not a professional, there’s no need for a multi dribble iso step back
Transforming Basketball@transformbball

2/6 The issue is context. A 14-year-old doesn’t need a multiple dribble isolation step-back move. They need to become great at what shows up the most in the game: - Reading closeouts - Spot up shooting - Rim finishing - On-ball defense

We need to shift to 3 on 3 leagues for youth players (grade 2-5) because: -more ball touches -more playing time -more movement -more space -more opportunities for each player In 5 on 5, most players are standing watching 2-3 players. In 3 on 3, everyone contributes
Chris Oliver@BBallImmersion

What if the fastest way to develop youth players isn’t more drills — but more 3-on-3? FIBA 3x3 Head Coach @HillierGerard provides practice examples of how small-sided games accelerate decision-making, spacing awareness, and real basketball IQ. youtube.com/watch?v=DYDzi1…
