Russians drove up to Ukrainian Armed Forces positions… and simply surrendered.
Entire crews approached in tanks and BMPs right up to Ukrainian trenches, stopped, opened the hatches, and said: “Take the equipment, just don’t shoot.” Soldiers and officers came out with their hands raised; some even helped move the tanks onto Ukrainian positions.
Within a few hours, our fighters received dozens of operational Russian vehicles along with ammunition. The Russians were surrendering en masse—without a fight, without resistance, as if they were simply tired of the war.

@Kieranbcfc2 @JamesFl @MattChorley It was the second most populous city and I think that was the reason why.
English

@JamesFl @MattChorley It’s not just people from Birmingham who call it the second city though.

@ChristSavesUK What the fuck is going on in this country? Performative flags, now crosses.

Boris was arguably the most famous politician when Mayor of London yet he travelled all over London on his bicycle with NO security and on the tube where he was usually inundated for selfies. Yet Khan immediately took a bomb proof carrier flanked by a back up and then a security guard. Absolutely no need for such an expensive security team. Signs of grandeur rather than necessity!

Wonder where the bomb proof land rovers , security detail and fire power were when Boris was Mayor of London !

What a day this was. I have never been in celebrations like this since.
Getting back to the car in one piece was a real struggle.

The changes are small at first, almost petty but they eat away at British tradition and culture but by bit.
Starmer’s EU reset means we can no longer simply call it “marmalade,” because the EU uses the same word for some of their jams. The U.K. must now comply and label it as “citrus marmalade.”
All this, even though Britain consumes the most per capita and is credited with inventing the traditional orange recipe.

@IsabelOakeshott He was literally out ‘commemorating’ Maundy Thursday today. Why are you desperate for a twitter message?
English

@NhsWoman @Lodestar247 @CatharineHoey @RoyalFamily @churchofengland Gone out of his way? How much out of the way did he go exactly?
English

@Lodestar247 @CatharineHoey @RoyalFamily For context, Charles has gone out of his way to celebrate Islamic traditions but not the traditional faith of this country. He is meant to be the head of the @churchofengland...

Is it true that the King is not delivering a message for Easter. ? If this is true why is he not ? We need to have a reason. If he can give messages to Muslims on their special religious days surely he must send a message to Christians. @RoyalFamily

Europe is heading toward one of the most severe economic crises in its history. The world is facing a serious energy crisis. Europe is in grave danger. The only way out is to lift the sanctions imposed on Russian energy. Immediately. We must think not about Putin, but about our own country and our peoples. Instead of warmongering, love and save your country, Donald!
Donald Tusk@donaldtusk
The threat of NATO’s break-up, easing sanctions on Russia, a massive energy crisis in Europe, halting aid for Ukraine and blocking the loan for Kyiv by Orbán - it all looks like Putin’s dream plan.

@Bushra1Shaikh Trump might want to leave, but the amount of shared intelligence all countries rely on would mean it doesn’t
English

@DPJHodges Nah. Given how erratic Trump is, he’d impose 50% tariffs on GB for being ‘hurt’.

@lovesmonie @SandyofCthulhu Are you suggesting that Japanese’s writing looks like Chinese? FFS it is Chinese!
English

@SandyofCthulhu 😏 let it be known the japanese got this idea of “GEISHAS” from the CHINESE. CHINESE was a HUGE INFLUENCE to the japanese… that is why lots of writings in japan looks CHINESE.
English

When I was in Kyoto with my friend, I kept seeing "geishas" walking around. My friend (who lives in Japan) assured me they were not real geishas, but Chinese tourists dressed up for fun.
I asked him, "How can you tell?" He said, "Trust me. When you see a real geisha, you'll KNOW." Anyway went down a notorious geisha street - it was full of restaurants that featured geishas. You had to be a member to get in. And to be a member an existing member had to recommend you. So no way could I get into one of them. They had walls around the grounds so you couldn't even see in.
Anyway, while we were gawking at the cool geisha establishments, a long black limousine pulled up and a geisha got out of the back seat and quickly hobbled into one of the geisha places. I was maybe 10 feet away from her. And friend let me tell you I didn't need a guidebook to tell that she was the real deal. Completely white face-paint. Amazing hairdo with sticks thrust through. Layers upon layers of gorgeous colorful kimono cloth. THAT was the geisha. I kept staring at the place after she was long gone.
So that is my one story of how I saw a geisha. Sorry I was too stunned to pull out my camera and take a picture. Anyway my wife was there so ...

Witnessing an Oiran Dochu, a traditional procession of high-ranking courtesans from Japan's Edo period, with stunning kimonos and their unique Sotohachimonji walk, is truly mesmerizing! ✨🌸
