What an amazing experience during the Gulu City Students Conference at Gulu Central High School. @unsaugofficial launched the Sanitary Pads Campaign 2026. Many Girl-child students in Uganda are victims of hardships to access sanitary pads which affect their studies & health.

Today Morning , I intercepted a school van transporting pupils under dangerously overcrowded conditions. This is a stark reminder of how road negligence threatens our most vulnerable. Our children's safety is non-negotiable. I have called on traffic police to strictly enforce safety regulations and clamp down on school vehicle overloading. To school proprietors, headteachers, and drivers: our children are not cargo. They are the future of Uganda. Take full responsibility for their safety. No convenience is worth a child’s life. Let’s choose safety, always.

I received the Director of the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) @PoliceUg , AIGP Tom Magambo, at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi on Saturday afternoon. He urged Ugandans returning from South Africa to use the knowledge, skills, and experience they acquired abroad to contribute to the country’s development instead of dwelling on past challenges. Magambo said the returnees’ international exposure places them in a unique position to drive innovation, improve productivity, and support Uganda’s socio-economic transformation. He encouraged them not to blame or condemn themselves for the difficulties they faced while living abroad, stressing that Uganda still needs their expertise and experience to accelerate national development. @KagutaMuseveni @PoliceUg @StateHouseUg @NRMOnline
