@untilshesaid@Marvin__Suggs@HSBC_UK@HSBC I had the same problem, made an official complaint in February they sent £100 compensation and turned it off.. until now.. just went to login the QR issue is back 😡
@HSBC_UK@HSBC When are you going to fix the on.hsbc.co.uk / QR code issues that have been going on for two months? I’m unable to pay into my ISA via a method I have had setup for over 3 years! Why did you roll out this change without testing it. Change it back ASAP
@djharsley@Marvin__Suggs@HSBC_UK@HSBC At least you got a response..! No, the only way I have found is to get the bank details and specific reference needed and push money from hsbc instead of pulling from the ISA/credit card/savings accounts. It is now a massive pain and slow to move any money or pay bills.
For your fast song: it’s frenetic and reminiscent of your country currently. It also reminded me of a game show… What about ‘State of the Union’ or ‘Come on down’? Insane drum solo from Keith!
@billevanssax great show last night, thank you! A couple of suggestions for your soprano song: it’s evocative of a young woman passionately pleading her argument for something. How about ‘Storm the castle’, ‘Comes the dawn’ or ‘She makes her case’?
@vrexec I think you’re perhaps underestimating people’s preferences for security, routine, proximity to friends/family/hobbies/volunteer roles. Many without kids love to travel, but that costs money to do in comfort, & the ability to visit/live/work in many countries isn’t simple.
I ask this question from time to time and it’s not one of those judgmental “why are you not having kids” posts. I could not care less if someone decides to have kids or not, or their reasons.
What I genuinely don’t understand is… if you’ve decided not to have children… why are you working a traditional career? Why are you interacting with a computer all day? Why do you care at all about how much money you make? It literally makes no sense.
There are only a few tiny exceptions… like you’re a caregiver for a family member or you have significant health issues.
Go join the Peace Corps or the military. Go volunteer somewhere in the world. Become an EMT or a paramedic or a firefighter or a police officer.
Go find a shack in the woods somewhere and write fiction for five straight years and don’t talk to anyone.
Literally walk across the country. Bike around the world. Move to Greece and work on a boat ferrying tourists around the islands. Go to Switzerland and become a mountain guide. Dedicate yourself to fitness and adventure. Literally anything.
You have this incredible gift of a life with no dependents. Why are you still career coded and money coded?
One of the great mysteries of our time.
My oldest been saying she wants to watch a movie that’s gonna make her cry all weekend. We tried a walk to remember and hardball. Not even a sniffle. Tonight I’m breaking out Marley and me. If this don’t get the job done she goin to therapy
@EveryoneActive hi team - tried to message you privately but you don’t accept messages unless users are verified. I booked a gym session at London Aquatics Centre today. All routes by road are closed today & no alert not to drive - pls can you refund?
@nickgraynews When I’m hungry in Japan and need food immediately, my go to is either an onigiri from
7-11/lawson etc, or if it needs to be hot, the cans of corn soup in some of the vending machines. They’re delicious and buy you time to get somewhere proper.
I am biting my tongue because I’m with this woman and I know she’s about to turn into an absolute dragon
We’re both on the edge of being hangry
She’s scrolling her phone to find saved spots for dinner in Kyoto
The problem is that each of the spots she has saved and meticulously researched before our trip appear to be 20 minutes away right now
And so I’m doing a mental calculus of exactly how long I have before we get hangry, and what the wait at the restaurant might be like for a table for 2 on a Saturday night, and exactly how hungry I am, and how much patience I can afford to distribute to another one of these situations I find myself in
I’m bad at being patient. So I just take over
“We need a hot snack as soon as possible,” I say as I pull her into another dingy diner frequented by poor students and transit workers
The automatic sliding doors open into an overlit cafeteria-style room that feels like a doctor’s office
But I actually love these places
I pride myself on knowing how to find food fast and what to order in Japan. The baseline of simple food here is just so good, you can get a nice warm snack anywhere - even if the vibes are off
But this place is not what she wanted
And this woman is my travel partner not a puppy to pull around
I am a 43 year-old man who has lived most of my life alone
And I am learning how to travel and live with someone all over again
It feels like a dozen different sacrifices
For someone else’s agenda and preferences and asking for her input
I never really ask for input in my life so this is something I’m learning
I’ve been a business owner, a content creator, a tour guide all my life
I am meant to lead, even for a party of 1
But that has served me only so well until now
Now I want to be in a relationship and I want to start a family
And I can’t do that alone
So I take a breath. I get a cup of water inside this fluorescent shop that she is barely entertaining with practiced patience
And we make a new plan to visit one of the saved spots she wants to see
The taxi drops us off 10 minutes later
We’re outside a Japanese bistro that looks like it is run by college kids
As we walk inside they yell out to us above the coolest music I’ve heard in any restaurant in years
The lighting is great, the kitchen smells good, and I have to admit that the vibe is immaculate
She has a great eye and incredible taste; I am reminded that this is one of the things I like about her
We order one of everything and our dinner is amazing in the end
I never would have picked this place but now it is one of my new favorite spots in Japan
Is that what relationships are about then?
For every perceived compromise there can still be gold
Maybe these small sacrifices aren’t so bad after all
@Lawl_Assoc Unfortunately this is typical deplorable behavior for men when the women who take care of their home for decades become sick. I’m so sorry.
@Jason@HestraGloves I’m currently skiing in -7 to -11 C conditions. I swear by mittens rather than gloves, and if needed I throw in a heat pack (rarely needed). Some Germans today advised their Lenz heated gloves and socks were game changers.
@legallymom2 You can find sunscreen with the makeup in convenience stores like 7/11, Lawson and family mart. They also sell UV parasols as the Japanese make a concerted effort to stay out of the sun.
My son has had chronic fatigue and digestive issues for two years. Every time he eats something, he has a histamine reaction and then experiences fatigue. He has eliminated tons of foods including dairy and requires tons of supplements and digestive enzymes. We are in Japan and he has boundless energy and is eating everything, including dairy, with no reactions. Our government sold us out and poisoned our food supply. It is simply infuriating.
Gotta say, I reckon this Carols feels like it's limping to the finish? Most of the good carols have been done and I can't think of anyone who hasn't performed already? #carolsbycandlelight
@ShaunPa84241038@rcbregman The people creating the vaccines are not practicing GPs, no, but I’m not sure what you want here other than to rage against the system. You are introducing lots of new topics. Perhaps start with some reform to your healthcare system which allows Drs to be paid commissions for RXs
@ShaunPa84241038@rcbregman I understand your point, but asking strangers who don’t live in the US, do not know where you live specifically & do not know what conditions you have are not going to be able to give you specific medical advise or point to specific doctors. It needn’t be quack vs controlled Drs
@ShaunPa84241038@rcbregman There are thousands of specific situations that may interact; you need to speak to a qualified doctor.
For example, if you are on cholesterol medication, grapefruit juice can interfere. This is not going to be listed everywhere because you need to actually talk to your doctor.
