And yes, it’s going through some shit right now. We all see that. But what you read in headlines is not a reflection of day to day life here. I’ve met the most amazing, talented, hardworking people here. The energy here is unmatched, as is nature. Most of the people who asked me that question (always with a hint of disgust) developed pure hatred for a country they’ve in most cases never set foot in.
