@nikki57 @xtineengels yes, my solution is to just not ride at all, I just walk or take public transport and in the mean time I see that the city is actually making the infrastructure better for bikes, so hopefully in a couple of years I can also bike again without being afraid to be hit by a car

bike helmets ONLY help with a very specific style of accidents, and the speed of both sides has to be very low foe the helmet to actually work

moved to Belgium years ago and here it is already way less safe to bike in the city, cars are king over here and I just don’t bike because of it
