It’s interesting that Jokic is currently the most efficient high-volume scorer in the NBA (vs top 5 defenses as well), leading the NBA in assist and rebounds with the biggest on/off swing in the NBA while leading the best offense ever and people wonder what his MVP argument is.

If the Nuggets play really well and crush a team, they will relax next game and play like shit. Then they’ll come out the game after that and kick someone’s ass. Then they’ll be complacent and happy and lose to a tanking team. Then they’ll get mad next game…you get it

@jmorton78 Honestly the only time I’ve seen this team truly lock in for an extended period of time during the Jokic era has been the 2023 playoffs. Besides that they’re constantly playing up or down to their opponent and this season they finally can’t keep getting away with it

@EdensRelic @Bucketsince88 CB has never been a consistently good shooter and just an ok defender. His offense has fallen off probably due to injury recovery but he was never a $100 million player. He puts up a fight vs Ant and SGA but they’re still usually cracking 30+ so what’s he really providing

@SP4RR0WS Post isn't a commentary on MPJ v Cam. It's that DEN management framed the trade as one motivated by earnest roster improvement, when it's now clear it was made because ownership is cheap, underhanded & basically views the Nuggets as a portfolio asset worth little real investment.

@rxmart2 @jmorton78 Spencer Jones isn’t as necessary as you think. He probably won’t play in playoffs because he’ll get hunted for fouls. Also this new CBA is best to keep yourself flexible each off season. It would suck to lose out on another THJ type signing at the expense to keep Jones

@jmorton78 I think going over the tax this year to get a player that won't play in the playoffs is a mistake. Where they messed up imo was not offering Spencer a long term deal in November or December when he might have taken one. It's like they thought "we need to get under the tax"
