cavs are the most expensive team in nba history built entirely off skill. except they're capped by mitchell's inability to pass, harden's inability to not turn it over, and mobley isos where he dribbles it to his shoulders.

@MoreForYou_CLE I mean if you want to be really real, cavs probably don’t get past a healthy Toronto team. Not saying they have more talent but they definitely played harder, and we’re seeing now what the Cavs are capable of

The most infuriating part (this is my opinion) is the pistons are just not that good. I don’t rate them very highly. At all. But again, they try harder and they want it more than the Cavs. No matter who’s on the floor that’s been the reputation of this era.

Cleveland's stars just aren't good enough. Harden with 4 turnovers, only 3 makes and hideous defense. Mobley had ONE rebound in 36 minutes. Mitchell had 31 points but on 24 shots. Too inefficient. Jarrett Allen can't bang with Detroit. No one on the Cavs can. That was obvious one year ago when they got ran out of the gym by the Pacers. Still no heart now. Still no championship DNA.

Cavaliers have no chance if Evan Mobley isn't better the rest of this series. Got punked by Duren. Doesn't chase boards. Gets pushed around on D. Doesn't dunk on offense. It's round two and he's playing with preseason toughness. He shouldn't have even been in to close over Allen.

@DevaronPerry Toronto even with all the injuries has a ton of big wings, which Detroit does not, but they do have good bigs. Will be a different challenge

Toronto scared me more than Detroit if I’m being honest but that doesn’t mean we need to take these fuckers lightly.

A truly woeful game from Jakob Poeltl on both sides. The Raptors are trying to make him useful offensively as a screener/hub but it’s cramming the paint. Defensively been just as troubling. They’ll need to ride their rookie for the rest of this half imo

@realcavsfans @HPbasketball The problem isn’t that they’re not talented. They just don’t really have that dog in them. Allen played great in game 7, but it took playing a very injured team, with no functional big man to do it. Mobley is supposed to be a DPOY, but get pushed around by wings

Allen and Mobley have their warts but not sure how you can see them play this series and still say they're soft. Both have battled and responded to what's been asked of them.

@JoshEberley I mean Ingram not being able to play in the last 3 games makes you wonder if he was dealing with this injury the whole series - still, they’ve got some proven young guys now (Jamal, Walter, CMB) that they could continue to build with and hopefully come back healthier

Promise this Raptors team has showed during this series really makes you think. If they traded for a better player than Ingram, if Quickley wasn’t hurt, if they hit on a contributor rather than missing with Dick…

@JustEsBaraheni The nba made this a bigger problem then it needed to be when they didn’t first rule change, when tanking wasn’t as bad as it is now. Every modification in % is just shifting the incentive equation a tiny bit - I agree, smaller odds of winning for more teams is the answer

Not only do I think this doesn’t solve anything, I think it’ll be even more damaging. Why try for the playoffs if you’re in the play-in with 0% chance at winning a series and a 2.5% chance at getting the #1 pick?
