It's too intensely pink to the point that it hurts my eyes. It could've been a little bit more saturated or added another colour to break apart the palette.

@skittyful Their designs are horrifically perfect, the horrific yelps they make, the gut wrenching sound when the rot explodes out of them, the way they struggle to eat because the rot wants to shove it into the pustules on the back while the lizard wants to eat it, it's always in pain

When Azula struck Aang with lightning during the fall of Ba Sing Se, he technically did die for a brief moment. That’s why the Avatar State was in such danger there. Since Aang was killed while in the Avatar State, the Avatar Cycle itself was almost ended permanently. What saved him was Katara using the spirit water from the North Pole to revive and heal him before it was too late . The show heavily implies he actually crossed into death briefly and was brought back.

@MatologMeatball thing is i played spearmaster a second time while completely ignoring them and the story felt so much more interesting to experience from that angle, it really didn't need all the extra insider information about the iterators imo

Spearmaster is the biggest victim of Downpour's development cycle and the lack of creative coherence in MSC dev team. Their campaign has some genuinely cool concepts but I kind of loathe the execution on them, and the inconsistencies it has with preexisting lore.

@verticecold @lesbideer I wonder what life as an echo lizard is like? Since none of the basic urges are shed probably not that different, maybe that's what all the creatures in rubicon are, the creatures you've forced into ascension, living just like they were when they were alive

the ascension power you get is really stupid and its one of the only things i dont like too much about the campaign, wouldve been cooler to see just at the end with the voidworm instead of being able to use it

@MatologMeatball This concept is why Rhinestones upon shattered glass is my favorite echo, and it's monologue is one of my favorite monologues from anything ever, it really speaks to me, and I almost teared up from reading it again just now

@MatologMeatball But in all seriousness, I think exploring the idea that some creatures are happy with life inside the cycle, that maybe ascension isn't the "absolute key to happiness" is an interesting concept, gourmand leaves the idea of ascent, symbolized by leaving from the base game's areas

While their campaign is a bit of a nothingburger, they are also the most satisfying DP slugcat to play to me, just because they have a really good balance of strengths and weaknesses that really fits into my careful, planning-heavy, meticulous playstyle.
