Reforms are inevitable for Pakistan to grow. Reforms that create democracy in each and every aspect of economy, politics, and society. Unlearning Economics

With the aim of creating a thought community, Pakistan’s first ever #EconFest held in Lahore (and later in Islamabad). In the third #EconFest2024 we are geared to generate more stimulating debates on May 25-26, 2024 in Gandhara Center, F9 Park #Islamabad. EconFest Previous editions spotlighted conversations on key economics issues; investment opportunities, agricultural diversification, textile sector, Research & Development, inflation, demographic issues, energy crisis, climate change, resilient cities, auto industry, real estate, sludge: cost of bureaucracy, reforms for political stability, branding & franchising, digital economy, taxation, foreign aid, charter of economy, local governance, cost of sprawl, social protection, tech for change, internet for all, law, justice & economy, justice for all, invisible 50%, good childhood, elite capture, & economic reforms. Organised in Alhamra Art Center in Lahore and Pak-China Friendship Center in Islamabad, the events brought policymakers, politicians, practitioners, business persons, artists, & social mobilisers to one platform. The festival used multiple mediums (talks, documentaries & books exhibitions) for public debate on key socioeconomic issues.
