Have you ever wondered what these tiny doors at the U.S. Capitol are for? Watch to find out. ✨




The #RussellBuilding Rotunda is located at the main entrance of the building + has a diameter of 57 ft 4 in. Corinthian columns on a marble arcade support a richly detailed entablature and coffered dome. The oculus of the dome is glazed to flood the Rotunda with natural light.









The #CoxCorridors feature paintings of the 16 buildings that housed the Congresses 1754-1865; it also chronicles legislative milestones of 3 centuries, 1620-1920. 🏛️📜 SEEN HERE: the First Continental Congress who met Sept. 5-Oct. 26, 1774, at Carpenters' Hall in PA. #America250
