In many states, March 16 is the final day to buy federal crop insurance or get Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) coverage for most spring planted crops like corn, tomatoes, cucumbers and squash. NAP offers financial support to producers of non-insurable crops.

Attention Specialty Crop Farmers! Please make sure all of your 2025 specialty crop acres have been properly reported before 5 p.m. EST March 13. Reports must be filed by then to participate in the recently announced Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers program.
