trump gets a $400 million ballroom, a $400 million jet, he's suing the IRS for $10 billion and he's golfing every weekend. You get unaffordable groceries, high gas prices, high electricity bills and one piece of chicken.

The Democrat Everyone Tax is an unconstitutional arbitrary asset seizure by the government. If by some chance the unions corruptly push this through, as governor I will use everything in my power to stop it @raminrealtalk See you soon!

They named it the “Billionaire Tax” so you wouldn’t read it. I read it. Page 26 lets Sacramento convert it to a tax on EVERYONE without your vote. Same people. Same trick. They did it with AB 130. Steve Hilton For Governor
Steve Hilton For Governor@TeamSteveHilton·
This “Billionaire Tax” is a Trojan Horse for the real goal: an annual “Everyone Tax” that forces every Californian to hand over their entire financial life to the government — cash, investments, retirement accounts, even your house and cars — while Sacramento decides what it’s worth and hits you with penalties if you get it wrong. Middle-class families don’t have teams of accountants. Billionaires do. This is exactly why we need Steve Hilton for Governor. Real leadership that stops the tax-and-spend insanity before it destroys what’s left of the California Dream.
Chamath Palihapitiya@chamath

As you go to work today and settle into the week, please study the form below. You will soon need to fill this out EVERY year and tell the government what you own and then allow them to tell you how much its worth. That is the framework that is enabled by the Trojan Horse "Billionaire Tax" that is trying to get passed. Give them credit: they cleverly use Billionaires as the hook, but build in the language and the framework that will allow the Legislature to simply extend the tax to everyone and make it yearly. And this is where the form below comes in... In this case, ask yourself, will it be you or the Billionaires that will be able to fill this out properly and avoid penalties. As much as Billionaires can be pushed to do more for society, we all know that they have the infrastructure to manage these kinds of disclosures...middle class Californians do not and they will be the ones that get penalized in the end.

Nothing says “we hear you” like a brand-new White House ballroom. Private donors today, taxpayers on the hook for $400 million more tomorrow. Meanwhile, Americans are choosing between groceries and rent, and young people can’t buy homes. Priorities couldn’t be more backwards.

The so-called "Wealth Tax" is one of the worst proposals in California history. The state has increased its annual budget by $150 billion in just a few years, with little measurable improvement in our public services or fiscal standing. There is little reason to believe a sudden one-time windfall of $100 billion will make a fundamental difference. Yet the promised windfall isn't actually coming. To the contrary, independent assessments find the Wealth Tax would lead to a revenue loss because of people leaving the state and no longer paying income taxes. Many billionaires have already done this simply on the chance that the measure will pass. Worse, there is enough ambiguity in the language to create a real risk that the legislature would apply the measure to more people every year. That's why the exodus started with billionaires but is already cascading down the net-worth distribution. The impact on jobs, key sectors of our economy, and California's standing as the innovation capital of the world is impossible to overstate. What's more, as a seizure of assets applied even to former residents, the proposal is plainly inconsistent with the U.S. Constitution. I have introduced legislation in Congress to preempt that unconstitutional provision.
Chamath Palihapitiya@chamath

On page twenty-six of “The Billionaire Tax” proposal in California, it explains how the state legislature can convert from a Billionaire Tax to an Everyone Tax without voter approval. They can also adjust the tax to be a yearly tax, not just one time…again, without your approval. Intelligence test for you: if this was meant to just target Billionaires, why did they write this in?

your party shut down refineries and saddled taxpayers with green environmental restrictions making us pay more than any other state
Tom Steyer@TomSteyer

For the past 15 years, I have stood up to Big Oil and corporate interests. And, as governor, I will take on the oil companies that are ripping off Californians and make polluters pay. That's exactly why they're spending so much money to defeat my campaign. Chevron is one of the worst offenders. While Californians are getting hammered at the pump, the company reported $3 billion in profits last quarter. As governor, I’ll stop Big Oil’s profiteering and return money from windfall profits directly to Californians. I’ll also work with the Attorney General to launch an investigation into why we're being charged more compared to the rest of the country. At the same time, we need to make polluters pay for the destruction they are causing in our communities. For decades, polluters like Chevron and others have avoided accountability. In Richmond, where Chevron maintains a large footprint, the communities closest to Chevron's refinery have disproportionately high rates of cardiovascular disease and cancer. When I'm governor, I'll make polluters, not taxpayers or communities, pay to address the effects of climate pollution. This isn't my first rodeo. I've taken on the oil companies before—and won. In 2010, I worked with allies across labor and environmental justice communities to defeat Big Oil and successfully defend California’s landmark emissions reduction legislation. We've had many more victories since then, but, right now, oil companies are backing my opponents in the race for governor. It's because they know I'll always put the people of California ahead of corporate profits.

🚨BREAKING:🚨PRESIDENT TRUMP, SENATE ALLIES ORGANIZING EFFORT TO REPLACE JOHN THUNE AS MAJORITY LEADER - President Trump is reportedly in close communication with MAGA allies in The US Senate including Republican Senators Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, Ted Cruz of Texas, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee and Rick Scott of Florida, among others, putting together a plan to OUST TRUMP-HATING RINO John Thune as Republican Majority Leader and REPLACE HIM with an AMERICA FIRST ALLY of President Trump and the MAGA movement. This comes as President Trump and these Senators who support him have reportedly GROWN FED UP with Thune's efforts at OBSTRUCTING the Trump administration and BLOCKING President Trump's agenda, as well as his SECRET LATE NIGHT MEETINGS with Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans to begin planning the impeachment of Trump and gathering the necessary votes to remove him from office in the event that Democrats take back The House in November's midterms. There is also growing concern among MAGA Republicans in The Senate about Thune's alleged DEEP FINANCIAL TIES TO COMMUNIST CHINA. What do YOU think... Do YOU support President Trump and these Senate Republicans attempting to REMOVE AND REPLACE this CHINA-OWNED MCCONNELL MINION as Majority Leader? 👊🇺🇸
