@walte6436 @MyJob275 @GodlyAction If you take the time to study the Bible you’ll learn that the word “hell” and the hell teaching both come from pagan origins and NOT from the Bible.

Jesus said this before John wrote Revelation: “If your eye causes you to stumble and sin, throw it out [that is, remove yourself from the source of temptation]! It would be better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,” Mark 9:47 AMP

Jehovah Witnesses don't believe in hell and neither do most so called Christians.

Hell does not come into the picture until… Revelation 19:20 (LSB) And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who did the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. AND Created for this moment in time. ALL other references to a “Hell” is incorrectly stated prior to this event. God is so merciful that HE in His MERCY HE waits that long to Create or ‘open’ Hell for residents. All other references are the Abyss of Orcus, a very deep gulf or chasm in the lowest parts of the earth used as the common receptacle of the dead and especially as the abode of demons. Interchangeable some use ‘Hell’ as an outer banishment or as heap dumping to safely burn the unwanted or trash outside a city. This commonly is the place of the future punishment called "Gehenna" or "Gehenna of fire". This was originally the valley of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the city were cast out and burned; a fit symbol of the wicked and their future destruction. Sheol - the OT designation for the abode of the dead, a place of no return without praise of God, wicked are sent there for punishment (akin to the Catholic purgatory), we know the righteous not abandoned to it and that it is a place of exile (lit. & fig) of extreme degradation in sin loved and lived on physical earth. There is one more but it slips my mind for the moment and this is “X” not Theo 101. BUT HELL HAS NOT BEEN CREATED YET OR OCCUPIED THAT WE ARE AWARE OF ACCORDING TO SOLA SCRIPTURA.

Since when do most Christians not? Evangelicals do. And it doesn't exist yet, the lake of fire. Biblically speaking it's meant for Satan and his demons and after the fall we were all headed there but Christ intervened. Now what it actually is and whether it's eternal may be debated by some Christians.

Well, good for the JWs. At least they got something right amidst all the errors. You should define "hell" the way you understand it. There are 3 Greek words inappropriately translated to the English "hell." Gehenna, Tartarus (only used once in Peter), and Hades. To which one are you referring? None were or are places of torment.

@CarmineWilding @GodlyAction I have talked with them and I know what was said. I went to school with them, and that is what they believed. I am NOT wrong. Perhaps they were in a JW Cult but they all identified as JWs. YOU are wrong.

@CarmineWilding @GodlyAction Every single JW who has ever come to my door did not believe in Him as Lord, Savior and Messiah. They used to come in groves of 20 people. They weren't allowed into our homes.

Thank you for that, I did and Im sorry if it came across abruptly or anything like that that was not my intention ! I studied with them for over 10 yrs.. The Trinity was the 1 of the reasons I stopped studying with them. They believe In Jesus but as the Son of God, not as part of the Headship because they don't believe in the Trinity. They don't follow Christmas because of its pagan roots. Let's pray they leave and come to know The Truth The Way and The Life
