For parents of SEND children or educators, here's the link to the consultation. 👇 Once completed (16 pages 🫠) you can download a pdf to send to your MP. I know there's alot going on in the world atm but this stuff is still important... consult.education.gov.uk/send-strategy-…

The government wants a single education system, with SEND integrated into the mainstream education system yet there's nothing in the white paper that mentions changing the target driven mainstream education system that's totally incompatible with inclusion gov.uk/government/pub…

@neonsaxon @MichaelRosenYes @jessicaelgot I'm sure the usual standard of political strategist manoeuvring is pretty grim but this went way beyond anything we've seen before. The smear campaigns and purges were off the scale... all with cross party backing and the support of the media I might add. It was frightening.

@MichaelRosenYes @jessicaelgot Isn’t this just standard political strategist manoeuvring? The kind of thing that all parties & successful elections have behind them? All a bit shadowy but nothing new.

Jessica Elgot writes in Guardian: 'Starmer cannot fathom his own frame of mind when he agreed to Mandelson’s appointment.' We can fathom it! Mandelson, Starmer et al were part of the club that Paul Holden has shown led the campaign to take 'back' the Labour Party. @jessicaelgot

@WojtusciszynP Yeah why couldn't the media just ignore the Starmer/Mandelson links to the world's most prolific child sex trafficker? They're not supposed to report that stuff. 😤 So unfair.

This whole media frenzy instrumented by the Guardian has been done at this time to derail Labour just before the elections at a time when the PM had good approval ratings over his handling of the war with Iran, plus good news with the economy starting to pick up so nothing new!

@tomhfh It's weird your response to not having time to do your weekly shop is to wish for retail staff to give up their Sunday evenings instead of wishing for a society that values worklife balance so we all had more time for the weekly shop, family, hobbies, fun etc.

I’m just back to London after a weekend away with my family. A busy week ahead, so now is the perfect time to go and do the big weekly shop. Thanks to politicians not understanding how family life actually works I now have precisely 20 minutes before the shop shuts. It’s not going to happen.

@usernamefen @SaulStaniforth @faizashaheen We have got a Labour government who the vast majority voted for! Not a Red Tory a Red Labour government! The ref to Corbynites should have been obvious but as it isn’t they are not Labour supporters! They’d cut off their nose to spite their face!

Keir Starmer as DPP & PM. Horizon: "I didn't know" records destroyed Savile: "I didn't know" records destroyed Assange: 'I didn't know" records of his Washington trips destroyed. Jean Charles de Menezes review: "No evidence" Epstein: "None of us knew" Mandelson: "I didn't know"
Craig Murray@CraigMurrayOrg

You may recall that Starmer claims as Director of Public Prosecutions he knew nothing of the Jimmy Savile and Greville Janner paedophile let-offs or the Julian Assange fit-up. Now as PM he knows nothing of the Mandelson vetting. Total bollocks. Even if true, total incompetence.

@turnipdodger @affleckquine @suziegeewizz Can you think of any other public service or industry where the head of it could just say "well nobody told me" or "sorry this didn't come across my desk" with regards to major safeguarding or security breeches?

@affleckquine @suziegeewizz No, I don’t think it was hidden from him. The case was dropped by a local office before it got to national level - it would never have got anywhere near his desk. That doesn’t indicate deliberate intent or incompetence - it’s the process working as intended.

@ginandfred @SaulStaniforth @faizashaheen Yes I'm very much talking about the system that gave us this Labour-right/Red-Tory government in 2024. Why are you talking about "Corbynites" in 2026?? Are you okay?

It is mindblowing the PM was not told by officials that Peter Mandelson, his pick for the UK's biggest diplomatic job, had failed security vetting. I'm told Starmer is furious after he was told *for the first time* earlier this week. Serious questions for foreign office perm sec Olly Robbins and his team tonight.

Exclusive from @daisyeastlake Zack Polanski has been warned that he faces a generational divide and risks alienating older environmentalists in the Green Party by focusing on younger far-left activists The Green Party leader made a conscious effort on Thursday, at the launch of his local election campaign, to thank long-term members who backed the party “before it was cool” Senior Greens are concerned that he risks putting off the party’s traditional core, especially in more rural areas, by focusing too heavily on issues such as trans rights and Gaza The party has enjoyed a wave of new support since Polanski became leader in September and began to focus heavily on the party’s more socially liberal politics. More than half of voters aged between 18 and 24 would vote Green in a general election, according to the latest YouGov polling But some senior Greens have warned Polanski risks taking confidence on the environment for granted. One said the party needs to be “more vocal” about environmental issues to keep some voters on side thetimes.com/article/9308dc…
