@usetako is now hiring worldwide and looking for "AI-native" engineers to build the “System of Intelligence” for companies (Bye “System of Record”), starting with Payroll and workforce management in Brazil. We’ve opened our office in SF, which will serve as a bridge to our office in São Paulo. AI is not an add-on, it is a fundamental building block of modern software. "AI-native" engineers are not imposing AI onto old software patterns, they’re designing entirely new ones. They’re orchestrators of tools—GPTs, vector DBs, RAG, agents. They optimize for outcomes, not perfect code. They move FAST. They delegate tasks to machines, but know when to loop in a human. Feel comfortable with ambiguity embracing probabilistic, fuzzy outputs. They don’t just experiment—they know how to put AI into production, and when deterministic models are the right tool for specific parts of the customer journey. Think in terms of workflows that can be redesigned with agents. Builds systems that improve with usage, see every user action is a training opportunity by getting feedback. Can fine tune models and prioritize structured data capture from unstructured input. Are comfortable deploying themselves inside our customers operations. They are native in Cursor / Claude Code. Great talent is scarce and knows no borders. They are resilient, intrinsically motivated, have steep learning curves and high agency. They can be underdogs and can come from unlikely backgrounds and have little experience. They have taste and critical thinking to know how to ask the right questions, define a problem and find novel solutions to problems. If they are aspiring founders, they know to follow founders that will give them the tools they need to lead in the future.
