I didn’t know you had to pay a monthly subscription to use full self drive in Tesla vehicles. Satellite radio I could understand, a subscription for a key feature, meh.

What an amazing car that just gets better every year with the rolling improvements and software updates. My original model three 2018 year I traded in after 112,000 miles for 2025 Highland model three what a bunch of Improvements quieter ride, pleasure interior, lighting, and better mileage. You just can’t beat the model three for every day use

@LamarMK Few people want to pay additional money per month to drive their car or have it drives them. BYD includes FSD for free! And it’s a lower priced vehicle. If it were not for the United States government, BYD would be eating Tesla’s lunch.

A lot of people don't want to pay $99 a month for FSD. So they don't even try it. Drop the price to $49.99 and suddenly it's an easy decision. Add a 6-month plan for $279 or a yearly plan for $499, and now it's a no-brainer. We saw what happened when Tesla offered the Cybertruck for $59K. Demand took off. Same thing would happen with FSD. Lower the price. Get more people in the door. Let the tech sell itself.

@LamarMK $99 a month is a good price for this life changing software! Tesla needs to get a good return for all the billions they have spent developing FSD. they need to bump up their gross margin a few points!

I had a similar experience just last week. I was in a double turn Ln. turning left. All of a sudden my Tesla stopped when the light turned green. I was in the inner side of the double turn lane. The person on the outer side of the turn lane did not stop and got T-boned. When the Tesla stopped, I thought it was an FSD error. Nope!

Today was my 1-year-old daughter’s first birthday (cowgirl theme🤠) Took her for a ride in the Model Y to get her to nap before the party. I do this often because it FSD drives more smoothly than me and is better at putting her to sleep. While proceeding through a green light, FSD suddenly slammed the brakes which frustrated me. I assumed it was making some sort of mistake. About a second later a pickup blew through the intersection running a red. I never saw it coming. It’s got to be a roomy 3 row. Wonder if they could use plastic instead of Stainless on the same assembly line and chasis? Would that bring the cost down. The CT assembly line does not have a paint shop, but not needed if the color was part of the body. Would weigh less too, making it more efficient.
