9 FIRs, Sexual Harassment Claims, and Allegations of Religious Coercion Rock Nashik MNC
ASTOUNDING SCALE AND DETAILS:
A widening investigation by Nashik police into allegations of sexual harassment at a multinational company has revealed a complex set of claims spanning nearly four years, from 2022 to 2026. CNN News18 has accessed details from nine FIRs, which describe repeated instances of alleged sexual misconduct, workplace harassment, and remarks hurting religious sentiments.
According to the complaints, multiple accused, including Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raja Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, and others, are alleged to have engaged in inappropriate physical contact, lewd comments, stalking, and coercive behavior toward women employees. In several instances, the accused are also alleged to have made objectionable remarks about Hindu deities and the complainants’ personal lives, contributing to a hostile work environment.
One FIR also includes allegations of attempted religious conversion, including claims that a complainant was forced to perform namaz and pressured into consuming non-vegetarian food. Separately, a complaint by a male employee alleges coercion to participate in religious practices and subsequent conversion, though police are still verifying these claims and the authenticity of related images.
Despite repeated complaints, there are allegations that company authorities failed to act adequately. Police have stated that all aspects, including sexual exploitation and religious coercion, are under investigation.
