Ahmedabad is not a sporting city, it never has been. That’s why every time there’s a final played there, more than 50% crowd is from outside the city. There’s no sporting culture, vibe. Just making the largest stadium might bring you gate revenues but it doesn’t bring you support or success for India.

I watched Border way back in 1997 in small town MP. Everyone in the entire cinema hall had their eyes wet. As a school going kid, I thought this can never be beaten, the best we could make. Border 2, surprisingly 28 years later, makes you feel the same emotions, Infact does better. And Sunny Deol is like a T-55 Tank. I am not a school kid anymore, but he made me feel the same emotions. Special mention for the ‘Mitti ke bete..’ song. It does things to your eyes. Tickets will be difficult to get. But don’t miss Border 2.

In the Amdavad Metro, Hindi is prominently displayed along with Gujarati and English. I didn't see any insecurity among the Gujarati people. They speak Gujarati everywhere. And don't care what others speak. I wonder how 3-language is not hurting them, as some fear elsewhere..
