made a Blender addon that puts a cat at the bottom of the screen it doesn’t do anything useful, it just walks around judging my topology probably my most honest addon so far #b3d #Blender

@3D_director @ericjeker wdym where would you want the keypress display to show up? Inside the cat’s speech bubble or as a separate overlay near the cat or somewhere fixed on the screen like a normal input display?

@utkuotw @ericjeker Serious request: if the cat can show my entire keypress correctly, unlike those other key capture addons, AND give us the custom dialogue entries, I'd give this 10/10 Cool idea.

small update: added customizable speech balloons, so you can decide exactly how judgmental the cat gets.

Here is my personal take on Hellboy, inspired by Mignola’s unique art style. It’s always tricky balancing those heavy 2D shadows with actual 3D forms, but I enjoyed the process. Workflow was ZBrush for the sculpt and Marmoset for the final look. #Hellboy #3DCharacterArt #ZBrush

I'm not a big fan of tutorials and courses. They give me anxiety. It's easy to slip into the vicious loop of knowledge hoarding. Watching a course makes you feel like you've accomplished something, but your portfolio is still empty. That’s when the anxiety kicks in. I like this Jeff Bezos quote: "Stress primarily comes from not taking action over something that you can have some control over." When I watch a tutorial, I learn what I should be doing. I gain control. But learning is not doing. Make a donut. Now you are officially a 3D Artist. Welcome to the club. Complete a Dekogon course. Now you know what texture baking is and that it comes after UVs. Watch Jason Ord's hand drill tutorial. Now you’ve learned almost all the advanced texturing tricks. Watch a portrait photography lesson. Now people won’t instantly scroll past your renders. You have control. Now get busy. Make something you love. Some prop you're obsessed with. Not another Osborne 1. Finish it. Put it out there. Collect honest feedback. If there's an artist you look up to, ask them for critique. Respect their time, make it easy for them to help you. Implement the feedback. If there's something you don't know how to fix, watch a tutorial about that specific thing. Put it out there again. Move on to the next asset. When you start to walk on the way, the way appears.
