GLM 5 Turbo and GLM 5.1 are ranked #2 and #4 on DesignArena. Sandwiching Claude Opus 4.6. A model that costs $1.40/$4.40 per million tokens is producing Claude Opus 4.6 level design output. The $200/month model and the $80/month model are neck and neck on code design. GPT 5.4 is nowhere near the top. Gemini 3.1 Pro is mid. Grok 4.20 near the bottom. GLM is not benchmaxed on design. This is real.

Anthropic vs Z.ai | Mythos vs GLM 5.1 Benchmarks don’t matter. Until one release forces everyone to move. GLM 5.1 did that quietly. - Open source changes distribution, not just performance - 8 hours autonomous run = less human in the loop - Good enough + cheap + controllable = dangerous combo Then Anthropic dropped Mythos, NOT an update. A line in the sand. - Massive jump in agentic coding - Dominating SWE-bench variants - Priced like a gate, not a product - Closed system, full control Everyone is arguing: “Which model codes better?” Wrong question. The real shift: - Models are becoming operators. - They don’t wait for prompts - They don’t stop at output - They loop, decide, execute Here’s the part most people will miss: - Cheap models will flood the market. - Expensive models will own outcomes. - And you won’t compete on prompts anymore. - You’ll compete on who controls the loop. (That’s where most AI “tools” break.) April just started. Who's next OpenAI or Gemini?

@farzyness We desperately need OpenAI to compete on the next wave of models. Opus currently is the only remotely usable model for Openclaw

I tried really hard to get GPT 5.4 to work with OpenClaw but it’s just not there. Opus 4.6 is just so much better. I wish there was better competition at the frontier. IMO it’s Anthropic, then everyone else at the moment. Grok is better at research and fact checking. Gemini and grok are both far better at image and video, mainly because Anthropic doesn’t do it. GPT 5.4 is very good for an overall good model for a good price that’s a generalist. But when it comes to specialization, OpenAI doesn’t have anything IMO. I think this is going to bite them really hard. However once players start leveraging their new compute clusters I think it’ll flip very quickly. Anthropic has made some pretty big errors as it pertains to securing compute in the long term it seems. If I were a betting man, I think Anthropic secure its lead by middle of this year, but then Grok and Gemini start making a huge comeback for 1st. Only path for OpenAI long term IMO is to ultra-specialize around openclaw and becoming the best bang-for-your-buck brain for agentic tools and harnesses.

Okay I lied the magic of Openclaw without Opus is just not there. Someone help me I’m struggling lol

openai will be launching a model just as capable as mythos next week. i’m a little shocked at the muted reaction to mythos if i’m honest. we’ve just seen the first sparks of asi. did you genuinely think you’d ever get to try it?

we open-sourced glm-5.1 agents could do about 20 steps by the end of last year. glm-5.1 can do 1,700 rn. autonomous work time may be the most important curve after scaling laws. glm-5.1 will be the first point on that curve that the open-source community can verify with their own hands. hope y'all like it^^

@ashen_one nah don't get it. you're paying a premium for laptop form. there's no fundamental advantage to running AI on a laptop. either get an m3 mac studio or wait for the m5 mac studio/mini. then you can tailscale into your studio from whatever device you want when you are on the go

Big upgrade shipped. @montr_ai just moved from text embeddings to multi-format embeddings. This changes a lot. Now the system can understand: - Documents - Images - Videos - Text Not just read them. Actually connect them. Example: - Upload a marketing report. - Add the ad creatives. - Include the campaign video. Montr AI can now analyze all of it inside the same knowledge layer. Which means: ✅ Better campaign insights ✅ Smarter AI responses ✅ Context that goes beyond text Real business data isn’t neat. It’s scattered across PDFs, screenshots, creatives, and files. AI should understand that chaos. This upgrade moves us much closer. What do you think?
