Attending the ISTR PhD seminars during my doctoral studies was indeed life changing! So glad I got to attend 2 PhD seminars and connect with scholars and students who are researching philanthropy and charitable fundraising. Proud ISTR PhD seminar alum!

Listening to Lev Manovich’s keynote on #ArtificialIntelligence art. Learned a lot & thinking about how AI image services & AI art will influence the generation of imagery of disasters and negative outcomes when we don’t #donate to charities or support development aid. #ANZCA2022

@kcdipendra I would love to attend the ISTR AP regional conference in Malaysia, but it’s planned as a fully in person conference and I’m moving interstate in December. Might have to give it a miss this time round and aim for the 2023/2024 conference.

@uxeniale @cndougherty I remember you from Bangkok conference. Hopefully we meet again in-person soon. Are you thinking of joining the Asia Pacific conference in Malaysia later this year?

Woke up at 2am to have breakfast before my 4:30am presentation in the #ISTR2022 conference session on Pandemic Dynamics: The case of Governments and Non-profits, moderated by @cndougherty. Working paper can be downloaded via the conference website.

Had a cupcake at my first in-person academic conference after 2.5 years! Love @CSAAustralasia’s conference theme, #BodiesInFlux. Day 2/3 and I already know I’ll miss the conference (and my colleagues) when it ends.

Received some flowers at the end of Semester 2. I’ve turned the bouquet into dried flowers to brighten up my office and remind myself that #teaching is a lot like sowing seeds. Amongst other things, you need to invest time and learn to be patient. #AcademicTwitter

What a feeling! Just submitted a PhD thesis examination report. Such a joy and privilege to read a solid, insightful and critical work. Now, I am looking forward to mentoring my future PhD student(s).
