HUGE success: the CA Assembly Appropriations Committee just voted YES to move the bill to the Assembly floor. The @theESA gaslighting failed. Huge thanks to @ChrisWardCA and his team. Next: the floor vote. We’ll need all of you once more. ESA, git gud. —@StopKilingGames

This is what local accountability looks like: In Festus, Missouri, a town of about 14,000 people, the city council quietly approved a $6 billion Ai data center to be built on 360 acres just north of Highway 67. Residents say they were never properly heard. Meetings were held in private. Documents were released too late. A week after the approval, the town held a regular election. Voter turnout jumped 129 percent. Every single council member who had voted yes lost in a landslide. A 70-year-old first-time candidate beat an 8-year incumbent by 40 percentage points. Now a recall petition is circulating to remove the mayor as well. The lawsuit against the city is already filed. Has your local government ever been held accountable like this? 🔥

THIS is why they want to force age verification/digital ID everywhere. Just look at the UK where they're arresting people for saying something the government doesn't like. Canada's also pushing for this shit because they don't want us protesting their fascism or voicing dissent

MacKenzie Scott divorced Jeff Bezos and got $36 billion in the divorce. She has donated $26 billion to charity since then. She’s now worth $42 billion, six billion MORE than when she started TAX THE BILLIONAIRES. THEY’LL BE FINE.

In case anyone isn’t aware, Trump is demanding Zambia to hand over its mineral rights by end of day tomorrow or the U.S. gov’t will cut off the country’s access to the AIDS medications that are literally keeping its citizens alive. Just thought y’all should know.

France made this wastefulness illegal cause it’s cruel and only causes more waste issues. Any food market or restaurant over 400 square meters has to donate all their good unsold food to charities and are fined if they do anything like this. That law should be applied everywhere
WELCOME TO BLACK TWlTTER @blacktwiterthrd

After private equity took over Krispy Kreme, a dozen donuts hit $22. Unsold ones go straight in the trash instead of being sold cheaper.

Seeing a lot of DC people mock TMZ for this… but I’m sure most Americans aren’t familiar with the congressional calendar and glad to see an outlet with an apolitical audience highlighting it. Congress doesn’t do *no* work on recess, ofc, but if they’re proud of their schedule, they should be able to defend it to an informed constituency
