ブラジルみたいな国の海賊版問題って、ただ『違法だからクソ』で終わらせると、たぶん実態をかなり見誤るんだよな。 日本にいるとアニメ1本、ゲーム1本、サブスク月額って「高いけどまあ手が届く」くらいの感覚で見がちだけど、国が違えばそのハードルは全然違う。通貨の弱さ、所得の低さ、正規版の流通不足、ローカライズ不足、決済手段の問題まで重なると、『好きになりたくても正規で触れない』層が普通に出てくる。 ブラジルっていう前提だと、生涯で正規輸入した日本のアニメコンテンツに触れられる層って、全体の数%とかになるんじゃないかな？本人が頑張ったところで早々届くようなレベルでもない。 で、その時に海賊版が何になるかというと、ただのズルじゃなくて『文化への入口』になってしまう。子どもの頃に違法アップロードやコピー品でアニメやゲームに触れて、そこから日本作品のファンになった人って、たぶん世界中に相当いるはず。そこを全部まとめて『モラルが低い』で切るのは、ちょっと違うと思う。 もちろん海賊版を肯定したいわけじゃない。広がれば権利者に金は入らないし、現地向け展開の予算もつきにくくなる。ニッチ作品やインディーなんかは特にしんどい。だから長期的には業界を削る。 でも厄介なのは、『正規で見られないから海賊版が広がる』『海賊版が広がるから正規展開が弱くなる』っていう最悪のループが起きることなんだよな。これは結局誰も得しない。 貧しい国の若いファンが“好きになる入口”を海賊版に頼ってしまう構造は、単純に石を投げづらい。事実として、そこで認知して愛着を持って、正規コンテンツにカネを落とすようになった人もいるわけだし。 海賊版はダメ。そこは前提。でも、貧しい人が文化に触れようとした結果としてそれが起きてるなら、問題は個人の倫理だけじゃなく市場設計にもあるんよ。 『違法だから潰せ』だけでは単なる悪口、生まれた国マウンティングになってしまう話なので、どうすれば貧しい国のオタクが正規でアニメやゲームを好きになれるか、まで考えて初めて建設的なんじゃないかと思うよ。

@v0ntade 気持ちは分かる。分からない言葉でするゲームは楽しくないと思う。でも海賊版を使うことは少なくとも日本の価値観では何よりもの悪とされてるから、日本人からはブーイングを貰うのも仕方がないと思う。そもそも犯罪だし。 日本人は絶版になった本とかはそもそも入手を諦める人がほとんどだから。

The only thing a pirated game does is give access to someone who was never gonna be able to buy the game in the first place.

If the company doesn't care about making the game playable to a different language market, it tells the customers they don't want their money.

Most people don't want to pirate a game: it's unsafe and they want to support creators they love because they know good sales bring sequels and more. The problem is accessibility. How is one expected to play a game they can't buy?+
