i moved to sf alone the day after graduating hs. in april, me & @quanttejas built a comp-neuro model for content ranking and performance prediction which performed as a better feature than @meta tribev2. so we immidiately got it in front of the ml dir and ds leads at meta. and they both said the same thing: we had the models and team to go all in. so they joined as advisors, i got deals, interest from t1 vcs, a team from mit+, and decided it was time to send it watch for presonance.tech

certainty is our inner enemy. i had long thought that the more i thought about something (and the more convinced i was as a result), the better my decisions would be. but it often does the opposite, making us resistant to risk and novelty. looking back, i’ve realized some of my best opportunities have come from moving forward on things i initially couldn’t fully justify.
