The narrative that Kerr isnt a developmental coach is one of the most false narratives flying around basketball discourse.
And a big reason why is because only classify development as drafting someone and coaching them to become a good player.
Thats not the only way to develop. What Kerr did for Wiggins is development. He came to GSW and Kerr completely changed how Wiggins played.
He revitalized Mcgee’s career. He turned Looney into a serviceable bigman when noone else would’ve found that utility from a 6’9 center that cant jump or shoot 3s. Jordan Poole looked like a Steph clone under Kerr.
Lets not forget Draymond. Lets look at how Gui Santos looked this year. Moody was taking the next step.
