New UserName, same Old Texas Dude 🌵 I’m no longer Vintage64TX and have changed my UserName to @v64OTD to align my persona across social media and my personal project. My new profile pic, while AI-enhanced, is really my face. I wasn't allowed to set up a dinner table on I35, so this was my next option. I picked up a lot of new followers this evening, but I also had to block a few people along the way. ​Let me explain how I operate. ​I am always open to debating almost any topic. If you challenge me intellectually and with facts, I will happily admit when I'm wrong. What I will not tolerate is anyone dropping into my posts or comments leading with insults and name-calling. You will get blocked. And if I deal with too many trolls in short order, you can expect a sharp response before you go. ​I am far from perfect, and I work hard for a living. I am an IT professional being displaced by AI and foreign labor, doing what it takes to hang on for three more years until retirement. ​Professionally, I grind; personally, I am a Christian with some theological views most have probably never heard discussed. I won't push my beliefs on you, but I will state them when appropriate. I will also fiercely defend the right of any denomination to worship God how they see fit—whether Catholic, Mormon, or anything in between. If you want to know the biblical reason why, go read Matthew chapters 7 and 15, and John 4. ​When I have something substantial to say on tech, culture, or faith, I don't compress it into a thread. I’m tired of letting blood sucking evil FUCKS impact my happiness. I gave it my all, believed in a movement, backed it with all my heart to be FUCKED over … I always had my doubts about the machine, UniParty, etc., but chose to have hope. I’m going to look upon the blessings in my life. I’m listening to every genre of music I love with my sweet daughter. Despite the complete CLUSTERFUCK going on, I’m enjoying this Friday night!
