If the Sabres are going to make a big move this offseason it’s almost certainly going to include at least one of these players: - Konsta Helenius - Noah Ostlund - Jiri Kulich - Radim Mrtka Rank them in order of most open to trading to absolutely not moving them.

@MLB Makes $40 million and gives him a ball. Wow what a guy. Wait just about every player give kids a baseball. So why single out Judge? Oh it’s MLB’s favorite team. My bad.

@VJ24242424 @Braylon_Breeze Damn, markets San Antonio(#31 media market), the 7th largest city in the Us and OKC (#47) the 21st largest in the US did 3 times more than Buffalo(#54) and the 88th largest city and Montreal(oops doesn’t count because it’s Canada)! Impressive, for hockey that is.

Monday’s Game 7 of the Canadiens–Sabres averaged 3.0 million viewers on ESPN — the most-watched game of this year’s playoffs & second most-watched R2 game ever on cable. ESPN averaged 2.2 million viewers for the second round — smashing the previous high in 2024 (1.6M).

@ByMHarrington I hope Lindy gets the message, win more than 2 of the 7 home games and you won’t have to worry about overtime and game 7.

Lindy’s lesson he hopes the players get from Montreal series: “Let’s not let it get to overtime. Let’s not let it get to Game 7.” #Sabres

@ByMHarrington Well the extension guarantees 2 more years of not winning the cup. Also a pathetic power play continues as well.

Lindy’s lack of a contract for next year was a non-story around the #Sabres. He told me last month it was zero focus of his and would be addressed. Two days after season ends, he’s signed. Now let’s see what’s done with the staff.

@ByMHarrington Same guy who wanted the team to get rid of Dahlin and Samuelsson at this age. They will soon be all over Mrtka when he gets to the club.

You are absolutely out of your mind if you think the Sabres are going to trade Owen Power. He's 23, just getting ready to start hitting his prime and over the next few years his contract will look like a bargain for the minutes he plays and what he brings to the table. Come on
Empty Netters@EmptyNettersPod

Trading Owen Power, especially given the fact that their top 4 defensemen are all left shot, absolutely should be something to consider

@Matt_Bove @JoeYerdon Same people who wanted him gone are the same ones all over Power now. Defense is had to begin with, even harder when you’re that young. Same people were all over Dahlin too.

I wanted to post the whole answer from Mattias Samuelsson because I thought it was very good. Great question from @JoeYerdon on what this season meant to Samuelsson personally.

@ByMHarrington How about the power play? Came out flat in the first last night. Where were the kings of game 6, Dahlin(yes he scored but gave away winning goal), Thompson and the ever disappearing Quinn?

Can’t obsess about Malenstyn no goal. It just gets wiped out on interference challenge anyway against Greenway. Cant stop thinking about #Sabres 2-5 at home in playoffs. Won both Game 1s, lost every other game. Lost 3 straight to #Habs, including 5 & 7. Totally unacceptable.

That was the second time #Habs have ended #Sabres season on an overtime goal in Buffalo. It also happened in 1993 en route to their last Cup, when Kirk Muller beat Grant Fuhr at the Aud to complete a four-game sweep. youtube.com/shorts/EA8y9ZG…

@BrianWGR Lindy, I will remember how you got outcoached yet again. 2-5 at home in the playoffs. That’s not bad, that’s horrible. But, hey you keep piling up those regular season wins. Will be the winningest coach without a Stanley cup.

Ruff says he will remember the resiliency of this group, the personal challenges with players, the injuries to start the year, just to keep coming back and winning games. Says they never quit. #Sabres

@v_charlap @Matt_Bove The simple play for Dahlin is to dump it back down low. I’d need to see an angle from behind the net to see how screened he was, but I initially thought UPL should have had that one

@Matt_Bove Who screened UPL? Who coughed up the puck at the Montreal blue line? That would be the duel Kings of game 6, Dahlin and Thompson. Why didn’t Dahlin spot from the blue line?you don’t make any shots you don’t take. Ugly goals win in overtime. Blame UPL? Did you watch this game?

There is so much to talk about. The turnover, the change of direction, the Malenstyn no goal, but I keep watching this replay. Look where the shot is taken. I’m not blaming anyone in particular, but Dobes made some saves in OT. MTL had three OT shots and scored on this.
