Centralized energy grids will collapse, and selective pressure will drive the proliferation of decentralized electrical and energy systems.
This means political fragmentation of nation states and a new dark age. Both the Greek and Medieval European dark ages had in common the proliferation of decentralized hydraulic and energy infrastructure, making political unity impossible.
Modern total surveillance and control by governments depends upon a shared energy, electrical, communications, etc. stack.
That is precisely what is ending: Worldwide energy crisis + proliferation of Ukraine-style FPV drone warfare that requires the shutdown & control of electrical & energy systems.
China, possibly Russia will likely remain the only truly stable continuous polities as the rest of the world enters a new dark age.
