The growth in the number of huge donations to political parties from ultra rich individuals threatens democracy. Donations should be capped at a low level. Foreign donations should be banned. Democracy should not be for sale!

General Practice really is a wonder.
It's easy to read negative comments online, but that's like reading the 1 star comments on trip advisor.
General Practice provides millions on appointments every day, and many millions of non appointments like I've just had - expert generalist led safe, quick and effective care.
You wouldn't think this was the case when we have politicians actively treating general practice like their punch bag to work out frustrations when their plans and strategy, or perhaps leadership ambitions, aren't working out.

@DrNeilStone I’ve been hospitalized for the flu. On average 35 thousand Americans a year die from flu. Anyone claiming they’d rather have the flu than get a flu shot is a fucking moron and not to be taken seriously. 🤨

In med school, I learned that Huntington's disease was one of the most devastating inherited conditions. It caused progressive neurological decline, starting around age 30. There was no treatment. Now, Huntington's has been treated for first time.
This is why we fund science.
