Tantangan mereka tuh:
1. Hidupnya soliter. Peradaban biasanya butuh spesies sosial besar2an seperti manusia, semut, lebah, dll.
2. Umur mereka pun pendek. Banyak spesies cuma hidup 1–5 tahun. Sulit buat bangun & transfer budaya kompleks lintas generasi klo sependek itu
3. Belum ngomongin idup di laut yg problematik buat teknologi seperti api, metalurgi, listrik, mesin, dll. Semua itu jauh lebih susah berkembang di bawah air
4. Mereka gk punya struktur tubuh utk industrialisasi macam primata yg bisa presisi bikin alat2 kompleks secara bertahap selama jutaan taun
