You ask ChatGPT "why is my engine failing?" and get back a clean diagnosis: worn spark plugs, replace them, done. So you replace them. Engine still fails. The problem is you trusted one mechanic who only looked at one system. That's exactly what happens when you diagnose complex problems with one AI model. One model sees the surface. It builds a confident story around that surface. The answer sounds complete because there's nothing next to it to challenge the story. But complex failures rarely have one cause. They're usually combinations: this interacts with that, assumption A breaks assumption B, the real problem hides three layers down. When you ask only one AI, you get: - one lens - one set of blind spots - one framing of the problem - confidence that masks uncertainty You don't get the clash that reveals what's actually wrong.
