@vampylink @DireGrim @kvromachi And with all due respect, "violence for the sake of violence as good" is subjective, too. Heroic characters constantly take out swaths of footsoldier armies and mass amounts of civilian infrastructure in their bid to do good for whomever they're working for.

We're violent because we have literal military programs starting in 6th grade in a lot of public schools. Action is a globally popular genre, more countries would be military-centric if it was solely bc of films.
