Update on the Hong Kong Fire investigation: Out of 20 netting samples, 7 failed safety standards; netting is again identified as a major cause of the fire’s rapid spread. Security Chief Chris Tang says earlier “all-clear” results came from testing samples taken only from the non-burning block due to active flames. ICAC now says initial findings suggest a “local” supplier may have swapped in non-compliant netting after the July typhoon. (Photo: HK01)
