Couldn't agree less, we've secured points boosts from projects with over $1B in TVL and in response our community has dozens of millions in TVL locked in the corresponding protocols. Honestly strikes me as a simplistic take, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt of taking a framework from other ecosystems and applying it here to justify not giving boosts. For instance the premise that the benefit of a boost to a strong community goes away fast, no it doesn't, it creates sticky loyal users. Then the premise that if "everyone gets a boost no one does" is also a false one. The majority of the boosts of value on HyperEVM are to Hypio community only, so there is no premise of "everyone getting a boost", and us getting a boost is for a reason. It's a singular community that stands out and is highly engaged from the top-down, both on-chain and on the timeline. We've cultivated a community of real users (in every meaningful metric) that many communities simply have not. That's just the reality. That's why our holders have received many thousands in airdrops, that's why we 100xed from mint with less than half a million in mint funds to make that happen, because they and we are singularly laser focused and part of that focus has been on the HyperEVM. That's why we're the only NFT project with a podcast that has featured like every top project on the HyperEVM over the last six months. The effect of a compounding, focused group is real and people overlook it too easily. In further response to this argument that for some reason you would need to give everyone a boost, giving everyone "no boost" is the same thing. Appealing to everyone by "collabing with everyone at an equal level" is a lot like appealing to no one. We as a project know that we don't appeal to everyone. But we appeal heavily to those who do understand and want to be involved. That alienates many and gets many others to be locked in. All approaches can be valid, but some win harder, as we've proven. I’m 100% confident boosted point systems are highly -EV. The only partner that ends up happy is the one with the highest boost. Every other partner feels some envy and resentment as they’re effectively being told someone else is more important than them. Even the partner with the 2nd highest boost compares themself to the #1 boost and feels short changed. Despite benefitting much more than they would from a flat point system. For the issuing project, it literally becomes multiple full time jobs to manage the boost allocations, deal with politicking from projects, and operate the complex point system. I saw this with Blast’s point system where literally everyone ended up mad lol. And so much collective energy was wasted by focusing on points instead of just building. The worst part is any benefit of the boosts disappears after the first couple announcements. Users all eventually realize when everyone has a boost, there is no boost. The cognitive energy required to keep up with which boost to follow just creates more churn as passive users get tired of losing to active ones. With all this in mind... Project X decided to not do point boosts for anyone. It's one of the best decisions we’ve made. All our partners are treated equally and don’t have to worry about someone else getting preferential treatment. And our users don’t have to worry about reshuffling to keep up with point boosts. Our focus is 100% on building dope shit and winning together 🫡
