@DavidStaplesYEG @PaulEAndrews It’s not “anti-choice” to want public money to support the public schools 90% of kids attend. Private options still exist ! they just shouldn’t be subsidized while public classrooms crumble. Working conditions are learning conditions. That’s not “leftist politics,” it’s reality.

@PaulEAndrews Because it is, in fact, anti-choice to define thousands of students from families that prefer a different kind of education. And why is this a strike issue. Leftist politics only confuse collective bargaining process.

Why does the Premier keep pushing the myth that defunding private schools is anti-parental choice? No one’s banning choice. We’re saying public tax dollars should fund public education — not subsidize private schools. /1

FACT: The carbon tax makes food more expensive for every Canadian family. Right here in Okotoks, Alberta the Kielstra farm pays over $180,000 in carbon taxes to produce the food that families need. Thank you to Member of Parliament, John Barlow, for highighting this.

@ABDanielleSmith Agriculture sector Pollution pricing was designed to take into account the unique needs of farmers who are on the frontline of climate change. It exempts all gasoline and diesel used on farms as well as biological emissions so that about 97% of on-farm emissions-this is a lie

Today, Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau spoke with Alberta media during which he managed to call Albertans fools, claimed the carbon tax was saving Alberta families thousands of dollars, and condemned anyone supportive of parental involvement in their child’s education.        We know that Albertans do not take his absurd claims seriously; however it is sad to see this Prime Minister, like his father before him, try to use Alberta as a punching bag to win votes in other parts of the country.   Instead of attacking our province, Mr. Trudeau could have informed our government about his visit to Alberta and extended an invitation to meet with me to discuss our amazing energy sector and workers, Alberta green technologies that are changing the world, removing red tape for struggling child care operators, or the housing and affordability challenges.   Next time the Prime Minister visits Alberta, I hope he calls my office to arrange a meeting as he did with the Premiers of Ontario, British Columbia and Manitoba. I await his call.

This past weekend 7,400 workers began strike action across ports of British Columbia, immediately disrupting Canadian and global supply chains. This strike action has the potential to cause substantial economic harm on families and businesses across Canada, including here in Alberta. Our government is monitoring the situation and echos the concerns of various business groups on the negative impact this will have on the Canadian economy, including increased inflationary pressures on consumers. We urge the federal government to work with all parties to ensure a rapid resolution to the dispute. Read more: theglobeandmail.com/business/artic… #cdnpoli #abpoli #ableg

The UCP hijacked teachers’ pensions. They didn’t campaign on it, didn’t consul, the legislation was rammed through with unseemly haste. This cost plan members $30 million. Do not trust the UCP with your CPP. Vote like your pension depends on it. Because it does! #AbElection2023

The NDP has been lying to Albertans about having to pay for healthcare. Under no circumstance, will any Albertan ever have to pay out of pocket for access to their family doctor or to get the medical treatment they need. Watch full video: fb.watch/jRoKZjgCdt/ #abpoli #cdnpoli

A word to my rural albertans. I know historically you have always voted UCP, many probably plan on doing the same. Few questions for you. 1) you all hooked up to reliable high speed internet yet? 2) how did you feel bout cost of policing dropped on you? 3) if mountains

You'll need to show your source on this fact check. According to the ATA's member count there were 39,215 full and part time teachers in 2018/19. There are 38,640 for this school year. This is a net reduction of about 600 teachers. #ableg #abvotes
Nicole Gray@ngrayucp

Fact check: ✅UCP hired more teachers. Net increase from 2018. ✅UCP built schools, over 106 new projects announced in 4 years vs 47 announced between 2015-2019 by NDP 😳NDP did NOT address class sizes & during their time “class size averages continued to climb” #ableg #abvotes

The media has given far more attention to a passport they think is ugly, than they did over three CPC MP’s who dined with a Nazi. Let that sink in.

While @RachelNotley & the NDP are obsessed with handing out free hard drugs and defunding the police, the UCP is focused on making our streets safer for Alberta families. Today, we announced violent offenders out on bail will be monitored 24/7 with an ankle bracelet. On May 29th, vote for safer communities, vote United Conservative. #abpoli #abvotes #teamUCP

This is unbelievable. Danielle Smith told a room of UCP supporters that they were the "first to hear" about the state of emergency. Why were UCP supporters "first to hear"? What about the people fleeing their homes? globalnews.ca/news/9683279/a…
