This exactly. An egotist will denigrate anyone to deflect scrutiny of themselves. The way Amorim talked about the young players, on multiple occasions, was appalling.

That’s how you talk about young players in public. The entitlement narrative that Amorim started to deflect from his own performance, which has no basis in evidence, needs to end. Behind the scenes a coach coaches. In public they don’t shit on their players.

FA not in a position to investigate & potentially take retrospective action on this one as it was said to be seen at the time. Raises more questions about what VAR are doing if the referee missed it. It’s a blatant stamp & warrants a red card & 3 match ban for violent conduct

The Solskjaer bounce was so great that he took over a team in 6th … & finished the season in 6th.
My memory is less of those 14 wins in his first 19 games in all comps & more the deeply concerning results/displays from mid March onwards.

It's so funny how managers will basically say they didn't feel the club set them up for success because they didn't sign me 11 new players that all happen to be among the best in their positions

I really don’t understand the sentiment that Amorim was hounded out by the media. I don’t think the Man United Pundit Industrial Complex helps any manager or player but he had the worst results in terms of wins we’ve seen for decades. That’s why he got the chop, end of story.

This to everyone saying its on united for hiring him. Don't think the board expected him to deliver 1.24 points per game, spend upwards of 300 mil in the summer and maintain that horrific record because he wasnt willing to adapt. Think he got more time at united than he deserved
