Yes, always there will be initial detection and then a "handoff" for classification, recognition, and identification, even with visual systems. Also, mosquitoes' movement is notoriously astochastic and typically requires an array (think dragonflies). That being said, with image sensors now being of such a high resolution and refresh rate, as well as processor power being capable of so many threads in parallel, it may very well be able to provide a firing solution for a laser which does not require ballistic calculation. That would be an economically efficient solution with the greatest challenge being that of accurate recognition. You wouldn't want it zapping everything, which it would most certainly do lol...

@variabl3 @yacineMTB very true, but for initial detection could initiate visual perhaps.

Lol well if you're running on hills the various angles and forces are quite good for you for sure! But typically at a gym I see people on a treadmill for 30-90 minutes a day using a set angle of incline is why I commented. Training at a constant angle causes repetition injury, micro-tears in fascia and tendon (especially ACL, MCL, meniscus, Achilles, plantar fascia, and so on), and because it trains various muscles with a bias towards the incline the tearing doesn't heal completely which builds over time. It's a fair warning I'd give anyone! :)

For people who keep asking how to deploy a simple static HTML personal blog:
1. Buy a .io domain for $70/year
2. Provision 3 AWS EC2 instances
3. Setup a multi-region Kubernetes cluster
4. Write 4,000 lines of Terraform config
5. Deploy a high-availability Kafka event stream
6. Rewrite the backend API in Rust
7. Containerize everything with Docker
8. Set up Grafana and Prometheus for observability
9. Implement an enterprise-grade CI/CD pipeline
10. Configure a distributed Redis caching layer
11. Setup PagerDuty alerts for 99.999% uptime
12. Realize the site only gets 1 visitor a month
13. Forget how to center a div in CSS
14. Abandon the project completely
