@AdiRa_333 @chess24com The bias against Hans is so blatant. chess24 is especially guilty of this, calling Lodici a "hero" because he was the beneficiary of Hans waking up sick and blundering like a freaking 1400 elo. Like most others, always wanting to highlight Hans' losses.

It's the end of the road for World Cup hero Lorenzo Lodici as Sam Sevian wins in Armageddon to survive on a day when 7 of his fellow 2700-players fell! chess.com/events/2025-fi…

Magnus Carlsen is back in Saint Louis — his first visit since the 2022 Niemann controversy. No headlines this time, just pure chess. Carlsen, Nakamura, Caruana, and Gukesh — four giants, one $412K showdown. Read full story in comments

@jim_skea @agadmator Precisely. This is something that is never mentioned when games he loses are discussed.. it is always claimed he was beaten badly or "dominated" or some bullshit like that. Hans has said several times, his biggest opponent is always himself.

@STLChessClub He didn't dominate Hans. Hans blundered like a freakin madman. But whatever floats your boat SLCC, to get engagement.

💥 Fabiano Caruana dominates Hans Niemann in just 28 moves in Round 7 of the US Chess Championship! A crushing win that keeps the pressure high as the tournament heats up. Can Fabi keep the momentum going? 🔥♟️ #USChessChamps

@anishgiri You are full of shit Giri. If it had been Hans that did the same thing.. there would have been an uproar, and you would have jumped on that bandwagon.

I am team Hikaru here. Organizers probably tried an experimental event, not pretending that this is the only way chess should be played in the future, but just to try to have some fun. Hikaru was just playing along and did something funky for the memes. Don't see the big deal.

If the future of chess is one where it’s acceptable behaviour to toss opponent’s pieces into the crowd, im not sure I want anything to do with it.

@HansMokeNiemann @gmjlh The bias from Hammer is so blatantly and dispicably obvious. Him resorting to offering you any advice is fucking laughable, and an insult to boot.

Hammer, considering who you work for, this perspective doesn’t surprise me. I’ve dedicated my entire life to chess, overcome incomprehensible obstacles. I’ve made enormous financial sacrifices to prioritize my chess ambitions. Comparing me to a money hungry international master is clearly in bad faith and not an honest attempt for discourse.

Many have forgotten how the chess mafia tried to ostracize, crucify, and destroy me at 19. Now Danny Rensch, the devil himself, releases a book to win sympathy. Don’t be fooled, time will expose the truth. Chess moves are undeniable.

@borntoberegret @chess24com @BortnykChess Yeah, Hans problem apparently seems to be motivation. When he plays people at the top, he tends to do quite well, and when he does not.. hence why he lost to a CM on consecutive weeks at Titled Tuesday. So let us hope he has sufficient motivation for the Grand Swiss next week !!

@anishgiri The prize fund is only laughable to you.. because you are not winning it. The opportunity to win an extra $1,000 per week or even 2,000, for 2-4 hours of your precious time is not laughable. Just ask Hikaru or Magnus. You got spoiled after Hans tilted twice and gifted you 20k.

Surprised to hear that Fabi disrespects Titled Tuesday because of the cheating concerns. Me and my friends disrespect it because of the laughable prize-fund concerns.🤣

@EmilSutovsky I noticed that Esipenko was playing, and wondered.. wtf is he doing here, was he not eliminated ? Then found out Fedoseev had to drop out, and immediatly wondered.. why the fuck would they pick Esipenko over Hans ?? The Saudi's want as much viewership as possible, no ?

I am puzzled. Esports event looks so good. So many top players. Very professional set-up. Excellent commentators. But the number of spectators on both chesscom and CBI is very unimpressive. Like why? Because it is esports? Or maybe Sony LIV and other networks have exceptional viewership on the event (do they?) Anyone with a reasonable explanation?
