I can't help but notice that the men who claim they think of Rome every day are fretting hard over Trump threatening to deploy actual Roman tactics. Destroying entire civilizations is what Rome does, it's how Rome exists. It cannot be otherwise.

Hang on, you can't monitor the situation yet. The “combat search and rescue” experts haven't finished changing into their “war crimes & Geneva Convention” expert costumes.

Donald Trump has been a national politician for a decade. Anyone still reacting to the guy’s negotiating tactics and hyperbole with this sort of hysteria ten years in should be disqualified from political commentary. If he nukes Tehran at 8pm, I’ll admit I’m the crazy one. When he doesn’t, this crew will admit nothing and find some other comment to be scandalized by.

Ok this is legitimately a threat to annihilate an entire people, an obvious and grotesque war crime. There is absolutely no defense of this and it should lead to immediate impeachment and removal.

The reaction to this from the "online right" has been nothing but pathetic. For 10 years, since I was in HIGHSCHOOL, I have watched and participated in endless posting about "saracens", "bring back the crusades", "retake constantinople" and all sorts of pro-violence rhetoric against muslims and the middle east. Now we have a president (likely bluffing) who is stating he wants to do that and you people blink. How pathetic. None of you people are serious. None of you are the "strong men" that you pretend to be. Every leftist is serious, they wouldn't say they want to "liquidate white people" but they will happily go work for NGOs to defraud the country, or work as pro-bono legal clerks to keep repeat offending murderers and rapists out of jail. Every leftist was serious when they went to go work for the CIA, FBI, and NSA they did the dirty work for Bush, Obama, and Biden against their precious browns as hospitals and weddings were bombed. You know why? Because after that they got to spy on Americans, they got to debank and arrest people for memes. Leftists do this shit because they are serious, because even if they are opposed to the random inbred browns getting drone striked 7,000 miles away, they know that at the end of it they will still get to weaponize their will, even the smallest most infinitesimal amount of it to enact their worldview on YOU. None of you people are willing to do that which is why we lose. Even those who will go and say "well Yarvin is right about the hobbits" are hand wringing at the idea of displaying true and real power, and more importantly getting the fuck out of this mess. But no, you keep posting crusader crosses and Kingdom of Heaven edits while crying about Iran. Meanwhile leftists are going to do everything they can to ruin your life and will do anything at the opprotunity to do so. Including nuking Tehran.

This is where Bondi's greatest failure was. We have had institutional actors in this country engaging in open solicitation of sedition and rebellion against the lawfully elected government for months and she did *nothing*. Something has got to give.

Dear @thejointstaff: The UCMJ and federal law prohibit war crimes. Striking civilian infrastructure that causes disproportionate civilian harm constitutes war crimes. You will disobey those illegal orders. If you commit war crimes, the next Administration will prosecute you.

I'm not going to like what I think is going to happen in Iran tomorrow. But I am going to hold the right people morally responsible and it won't be us or Israel. By now it should be crystal clear to everyone who the enemy is and why they cannot be permitted to have nukes. Ever.

The tr00ning out that happened to the retard right needs to be studied. How do you go from basic common sense and being able to spot obvious nonsense to believing anything, as long as someone tells you jooos are behind it?

Why does the term “war crimes” only get thrown at Western countries? Iran has been exclusively launching cluster munitions at civilians in Israel and no media outlet seems to be saying “war crime.” Weird.

Impossible not to notice that ‘war crimes’/international law discourse only ever goes one way. Iran is calling for children to be human shields around their power plants, nary a peep from the usual suspects.

No, dropping bridges and power plants is not a war crime. So many people have forgotten that war isn’t cricket.

The last time an American service member could expect anything resembling Geneva compliant treatment when captured was World War II, then only in the ETO, and even there with caveats. The Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe, generally and with noted exceptions, made an effort to treat prisoners humanely. The Waffen-SS and armed Nazi Party organizations were a toss up; chances of execution, torture, and systematic abuse were high. In cases like Malmedy where extreme violations occurred and prisoners were executed en masse, US units responded in kind on their own initiative. The Italians, as far as I am aware, were not noted for habitual maltreatment of prisoners. The Imperial Japanese military was notorious for its treatment of captured allied personnel in the Pacific Theater. Likewise during the Cold War no communist military opponent faced by US personnel ever abided by the conventions for treatment of prisoners. Post-Cold War the Iraqis in 1991 and the jihadists post-9/11 make the communists look soft by comparison. Rape, sexual assault, brutal torture and the graphic execution of Americans in captivity is not only the expected standard operating procedure for these enemies, they often broadcast the results for propaganda purposes. No sane person would voluntarily give themselves into the power of such people. At the very best, the continued health of such a captive would be used as leverage to alter US policy.

I have been yelling about this for years. And it’s not just Iranian terror sponsor families. It’s Syrian torturers. Latin American drug lord families. Chinese Communist Party honchos. We need to review all the green card holders from countries under US sanctions. Some are genuine asylees. Too many are enemy regime grifters spending their ill gotten gains.

I hate all race communism but I just never understood why brown people would ever get anything? At least with black people there was a history of race based laws against black people who were brought here against their will. What happened to brown ppl? Plus they chose this place

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani unveils a “racial equity plan” directing resources toward “black and brown New Yorkers” across city agencies. Critics argue the policy raises concerns over race-based treatment.
