@festusblaqe @JoshWComeau chief point is enjoying the whole process for me atm.

today's lesson wasn't really about css resets.
it was realizing that browsers already have their own stylesheet before mine even loads. for a long time i assumed a blank html page was actually blank.
i also really liked @JoshWComeau 's idea of changing only the defaults that get in your way instead of wiping everything clean. it feels like a much more intentional way of building things.

@syntax_voyager I define working "smart" as:
read your own signals before you crash.

Taking this weekend off to rest was the best decision I could have made. Tomorrow, I’m getting back to my routine.

@mattpocockuk i think the goal isn't to trust the model. it's to build a workflow where the model doesn't have to be trusted.

@delba_oliveira feels like the equivalent of reading the map before walking the city.

You don't need to read code anymore.
Read architectural changes first, then code, if necessary.
Hey Claude, walk me through your architectural changes (before/after) in an html file: modules and their dependencies, seams, function signatures, etc. use visuals like mermaid diagrams.
This works better if
1. you've given Claude a lot of ways to verify its work
2. you're iterating on architectural decisions with Claude upfront, before code gets written

@syntax_voyager yep, I noticed that first stages of the javascript path is full of reading materials.

@vathozdev It’s going to be even more fun; a lot of reading, as usual, but also more challenges. I’m still at the beginning, though. It’s been a bit slow on my end.

@markgadala we've been confusing "can generate" with "can replace" for a while now.

@mattpocockuk the ui makes it feel less like chatting with an ai and more like collaborating with an editor.
English

@CFDevelop looks interesting. my first thought is how formatters, linters and editors deal with everyone using different syntax.

@vathozdev 🥳 Congrats! Problem solving is the name of the game!

@VictorOsunrinde I remember that was so much fun for me but also I didn't really want to complete extra challenge part which wants us to add rgb color feature etc...

Day 39 — Odin Project
Worked on the Etch-a-Sketch project today.
The biggest thing I learned wasn't new syntax; it was how to think through the problem before writing code.
Tomorrow's challenge: making the grid size dynamic based on user input.
