In a small village, there lived a humble stonecutter who toiled each day under the scorching sun, shaping rocks into bricks. One day, as he worked, he saw a wealthy merchant pass by in his luxurious carriage, adorned with silk and gold. Envious of the merchant's wealth and status, the stonecutter wished he could trade places. Suddenly, a genie appeared before him and granted his wish. Amazed, the stonecutter found himself in the merchant's place, reveling in wealth and luxury. But soon, the scorching sun and the burdens of responsibility weighed heavy on him. Discontented once again, he wished to be something else. The genie granted his wish, and he became a powerful king, commanding armies and ruling over lands. Yet, even as a king, he found himself powerless against the forces of nature. Finally, he wished to become the sun itself, thinking it the mightiest force. As the sun, he shone upon the earth, scorching the fields and causing drought. But then, a single cloud passed by, shielding the earth from his rays. Realizing the cloud's power, he wished to become a humble cloud, bringing rain to nourish the land. Content at last, the stonecutter learned that true power lies not in wealth or status but in humility and service to others.
