In #UPWeek we of course promote university presses, but @UnsolicitedP gives a gentle reminder of the rich tapestry of independent publishing, also done for love not money, outside institutional contexts.

University presses are vital, but so are small presses. Small presses produce books larger houses won't touch b/c $$$...small presses publish work that demands to be read because it's art before product.
