The fact Starmer seems to have completely locked in on ruthless authoritarianism, seemingly to the end of running the Labour party into the ground to protect his own career, has made him far more likeable. He should commit to this persona in public appearances.

@smithkstead @verla1ns Thank you! I’m a bit of a boomer and I used to have a physical hard before also giving up on that and just pirating and cycling through everything I wanted to watch. I only have like 10 films downloaded at any time.

@vectoralposer @verla1ns simplest is downloading plex (or jellyfin or emby or kodi, etc.), giving it some files, then running it off a desktop. gives you netflix for whatever movies/TV you give it (but only when the desktop/server is running and only on your home network if you don’t port forward)

@verla1ns i've got ~650 movies on a NAS running plex but looking to switch to something else soon, even for just local network use having a self-hosted streamer is 100% worth it for the UI / progress tracking
