The guide I was using basically relied on rushing line infantry which is no longer something you can do because kafiristan had no access to the world market and cannot import small arms

@SamuraiApology Fundamentally, he is the sort who will tell people whatever they want to hear, but I do think he will shift on some policies out of a sort of pragmatic acknowledgement that they would help Labour stay in power. He is also popular, which is more than can be said for anyone else.

we must never forget that Andy Burnham, the guy now being hailed as Labour's only star candidate, was one of the three useless grey empty-suit candidates who lost in a landslide in 2015 to the guy the left only ran because it was his turn & as a protest vote candidate
Horace Goodwill, tonicke purveyor 🇵🇸@eff_hey

to be fair this is more of a long term trend of which Starmer-Togetherism is only the most extreme expression, Labour even in 2015 wasn't exactly a Mariana Trench-depth talent pool either

my thought process for following people is "oh an anarchist", "oh a leftcom", "oh a marxist", and clicking on the follow button. I dont necessarily agree with everyone I follow

The fact Starmer seems to have completely locked in on ruthless authoritarianism, seemingly to the end of running the Labour party into the ground to protect his own career, has made him far more likeable. He should commit to this persona in public appearances.

I have to say i'm much more fond of Starmer now he's locked into a seemingly-permanent death spiral. The part of me that loves an underdog wants him to go all the way until 2029 and even further. British bulldog spirit.

He's one of the only politicians in the country with a net positive approval rating, people love him. I don't think this is necessarily warranted but it is true.

Lowk man Andy Burnham walks any seat in Manchester. The greens would have lost in Gorton and Denton if Labour let him run, and the fact Starmer transparently blocked him to prevent a leadership challenge and lost the seat as a result is part of why his party is pissed at him.

So... this is the seat where Burnham may run Next to Gorton and Denton The Greens will try to take him down, especially as they got twice as many votes in Manchester Rusholme in 2024

@hodge_stick Most of the feedback labour got in Gorton and Denton was more or less, "if you'd have let Burnham run then I'd have voted for him." Putting that aside, it is debatably beneficial the greens for him to become leader of the labour party, he's a far more plausible coalition partner.

@NondescriptRed I’m not aware of what Kardashev wrote on the topic, but my theory is that window for a revolution is so brief that most species miss it and thus when capitalism collapses it takes the civilization with it.
