In the process of building my quotes app - i'm learning how to organize all decisions, documentation, and do project management from the get go. PM stuff lives in notion, software related documentation lives on the local disk (and a copy on notion). Hope the rules work consistently.

Discovered this app called Grug. It’s whimsical, uplifting, and has so much character. The font choices, copy and minimalism are one point. Great apps or products need not be grand. They just need to be intentional.

@BratDotAI Damn dude you’re pushing in all cylinders 💯 I’m able to focus only on 1 thing, context switching is hard.

I have 1 app live and 2 apps in progress. All three are pulling my attention at the same time. Genuine question for solo founders: how do you actually split focus? - Milk the live app - Keep building momentum - Context switch daily - Time block each project - Pure chaos 😅

A few ui iterations for the quotes app I'm working on. Nothing great, a simple quotes app. As I build this, I'm picking up on some AI related workflow optimizations.

X said design is dead. Meanwhile, more designers are shipping products than ever. Exactly what you’d expect when the cost of building drops. More power to designers. x.com/i/trending/205…

As a designer, I believe intentional design beats AI suggested ones. If we don’t continually refine the design, it’ll start to look like a glued-together incoherent patchwork.

@BratDotAI That's awesome dude! Tried the app and it's really easy to use. Liked the suggestions it offered too. I'll be using it as I post more across platforms.

This week felt special as an indie iOS dev. HookSpark got approved after two rejections, and I finally started seeing real installs come in. Only 11 so far, but those first few installs genuinely hit different 🎉 I also refined the App Store screenshots, fixed small UI issues, and tried turning them into TikTok promo videos with Codex. Small week on paper. Big week emotionally

I asked Claude - which hinge on a door carries the most weight. It said top, then middle, then bottom, then both top and bottom. It still surprises me that a model can be so good at coding but still mess up at ordinary questions and research.

@BratDotAI It takes A LOT more effort than estimated to make a good app. Not even great - just a good one.

What’s one thing you realized after starting indie hacking that nobody tells beginners? - Distribution matters more than coding - Great apps can still fail - Motivation disappears fast - Building is the easy part

Making some rough mock-ups for my quotes app. This is often the first and the most helpful step for me. It helps me visualize the final app as a user. #buildinpublic

For the new app - I'm checking out some videos and resources on getting started with Claude Cowork. First things first - desired features, and mockups. I'm putting everything into Cowork and creating markdown documentation along the way. They will help out later while coding.
