Before the Bike Lanes ever came into place, there were not a lot of deaths & accidents that even took place. I’m not saying that without the bike lanes, that no deaths or accidents ever once occurred. Of course it has happened. But not anywhere near comparable like we’ve been seeing nowadays and for the last few years

Boston was just named America's most collision-prone city. Then the city employee responsible for making our streets ""safer"" was tragically killed while riding her bike. Maybe it's time to admit bike lanes aren't the miracle cure City Hall promised. bostonherald.com/2026/07/11/bos…

@Car_Free_USA Not if it's to remove a car lane to replace it with a bike lane and it was just a two lane street to start with!

No matter what a traffic engineer says, converting a two way street to one way is always about making traffic move faster.

@WHoustonAssoc What is the increased pedestrian capacity of the roadway with the new design compared with the previous one?

Antoine Dr. reconstruction highlights the challenge of balancing mobility, safety, and access. The updated design shifts from shared-use paths to sidewalks with buffers, prioritizing capacity and pedestrian needs. Learn more🔗houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/news/…

A family from church has a boy in the hospital, my wife made them dinner to ease their suffering. I like being married to a woman who does stuff like this instead of typing numbers into a spreadsheet at a job she hates. Happy to work a little harder to make it happen.

@METROHouston Will you be sharing a report of how bus on-time service improved before and after construction on these corridors?

We’re upgrading road segments along major bus lines to reduce delays caused by pavement wear. A smoother street means a calmer ride and more predictable arrival times. #METRONow #HoustonTransit

@tbirdtko holy shit. Thank goodness you're okay. This is the best case scenario of what we have designed these streets to be.

Dear Mayor Parker and Carlton Williams, Can you please remove the snow from the bike lane on JFK and other bike lanes? And maybe clear the snow on the sidewalks around city parks (Sister Cities Park)? Thanks, Philadelphia cyclists, drivers, walkers, and taxpayers

@Scorpgal2024 @MeganKShannon_ Okay you have to be a bot built to respond to everything. That last response was the opportunity for a cute exit to the conversation that is going no where.

@veeaarel @MeganKShannon_ Trolleys/light rail suck, because they aren't grade separated like a train, nor can they detour like a bus. Toronto is currently learning that lesson the hard way.

@Scorpgal2024 @MeganKShannon_ Bike lanes are perfect for older cities. It's the many vehicle lanes that are much more difficult to accommodate in the constrained space.

@Scorpgal2024 @MeganKShannon_ 1-That doesn't work for built out old cities and we have to stop covering natural land in concrete and creating new suburbs 2-There hasn't been a parking lane here since 2019 and before that it was always full and you could never expect to load in at your house.

@veeaarel @MeganKShannon_ People expect to park their car outside their house when they buy it. If that's going to change, it should be changed going FORWARD in new developments. It's not fair to screw up people's lives by taking away parking, drop-off & delivery access that existed at time of purchase.

@Scorpgal2024 @MeganKShannon_ The amount you pay for your home does not entitle you to greater access to the street. Germantown has easier loading because it has fewer people and activities than Center City. When there are more people in a place, you have to organize the space more clearly. Ex: loading zones

@veeaarel @MeganKShannon_ I'm a low income resident of Germantown. My guests, delivery people & Uber have an easier time here than they do in wealthier neighborhoods. Funny how that works. If I paid millions to live on Pine or Spruce Street, I'd be very pissed off right now.

@Scorpgal2024 @MeganKShannon_ What streets have low priced homes and loading access (not a parking lane)? Really unclear what you're talking about. Also, the suggestion that it is especially concerning that wealthy residents would have "fewer rights" than low-income residents is telling.

@MeganKShannon_ Residents need to park their cars, and expected to when they bought multi-million dollar houses. They now have fewer rights to park or drop off disabled/elderly than residents of Philly's poorest neighborhoods. Bike lanes should be in new developments, so buyers knowingly opt-in

@METROHouAlerts @METROHouston I appreciate the response, but I'm hoping for data. I hope you release a before-after report which shows a reduction in injury-resulting crashes. That would prove your commitment to safety.
